Safe Families for Children

When crisis strikes, many of us rely on family or friends for support.

Unfortunately, some families have no support when they need it. Safe Families is a movement of the church that provides care and support for at-risk children and their struggling parents. Safe Family volunteers, prompted by compassion and Biblical hospitality, extend the love of Christ to families in need.

Resurrecting Hospitality

By extending hospitality to others in need, Safe Families returns the church to its historic role of caring for orphans and widows. Safe Families allows God’s people to give meaningful, live-changing support to families in crisis. The scriptures lead us to make room in our busy, well-protected lives to minister to others and help a stranger.

Peace of Mind

The Safe Families method removes parents’ fear of losing their child to the foster care system, which encourages them proactively to seek help. By giving parents peace of mind that their children are cared for, parents can focus on getting back on their feet.

Unleashing the Power of Family

Safe Families allows the host family to participate together in life-changing ministry. Ministering together as a family promotes unity and allows our children real experience in living out their faith. The Christian family is one of the most powerful sources of change in our society. Our homes are a powerful change agent. Rather than sheltering our families, we need to unleash them for ministry.
