- We hosted District Assembly this last week. The good thing is . . . we impacted the Oregon Pacific District
Terri Sharp is a full time volunteer, oversees iServe, and recruited over 250 volunteers for the event. She said: "It was a blast watching COTH "pour" out the love of Christ on EVERYONE! All that volunteered that day made it the highest priority to receive and embrace the District crowd whole-heartily . . .It was AWESOME! The energy from all the volunteers was contagious."
Joe and Chris Amerson: "We were both honored to help greet for this special event, Joe and I had a small volunteer activity but hopefully left folks with a friendly parting, for both nights. We received some nice compliments about COTH and how friendly the staff and volunteers had been during the 2 day session."
Julie Griffin: "I don’t know how many times I heard from people how big our church was and that the people were overwhelmingly nice . . . It was a great experience I would do it again anytime! God is so good."
Michelle Elliott: "I loved helping at District Assembly. I only had three small parts, but knowing that they helped with the assembly in its entirety reminds me that even the toes of "the body" matter! It was awesome seeing all of the individual parts run together well so the whole day ran smoothly . . . . Woo Hoo... Way to go COTH!"
Jesse Sauceda "It was great helping at District Assembly. What an experience seeing how God was moving through this whole event. . . . We are very blessed to have such a great staff that really loves all of God’s people. Thank you for letting me help."
Sharon Caldwell: "I think the best part of the two days was the people I was able to work with. It is always a wonderful time working with the people here at COTH you can tell that we all do what we do because we want people to see Jesus! Thanks for giving me the opportunity to serve!"
A pastor from Bend, said that Pastor Ashley and the worship team were amazing. He said about his experience: - We have been getting responses from the 20 women that were splashed on Mother’s Day with flowers and cards. The good thing is . . . Splashes of Joy is a ministry doing little things that make a big difference. Can you imagine receiving a gift just because . . . ?
- Last Sunday 142 pledges were made totaling $75, 062 for Faith Promise, which is over and above regular tithes and offerings! The good thing is . . . that our promised money will go to help bring the message of hope around the world.
