Why we have small groups:Connection with others One of the common concerns of a large church is that you don’t know everyone. You really never can. But you can get involved in a smaller group of people to build close relationships. Accountability Yes, accountability is an essential element of a small group. All of us need help, support and direction, regardless of how long we have walked with God. Groups help us with that direction. Deeper studies in the Word In a small group you can go as slow and as deep as you need to, in order to really get a hold of what God is trying to teach you. The small groups serve as process and they help everyone continue to grow in Christ. People to care As people sense a closeness to others, a natural by-product is care and concern for each other. We all have needs from time to time. Whether they are physical, emotional or spiritual, small groups offer a place for people to have their needs met. |
